Ocoee’s 3-star DL Jordan Phillips announces decision on Thursday
Up-and-coming senior Jordan Phillips of Ocoy High School is ready to make his announcement.
The 6-foot, 4,295-pound defensive lineman narrowed down the finalists to Florida, Georgia, Georgia Institute of Technology, Maryland, and Tennessee.
He will announce his decision exclusively on the USA Today Network at 5 pm Thursday.
Philips is a 3-star rookie, 95th defensive lineman in the United States, and 89th overall player in the 247Sports overall ranking in Florida.
“He’s big, strong and athletic,” said Ocoy coach Aaron Shepherd. He is definitely one of the top three players I have ever taught. His attitude is different from the ones I have taught so far. He influences the program in his leadership role, the way he is actually doing, and in so many ways in his voice. He is the best guy I have coached.
Philips recorded a total of 71 tackles, 14 tackle losses, 5 sack and 2 forced fumbles in 2020.
