City of West Palm Beach Announces Temporary Road Closures for Filming

WEST PALM BEACH, FL – The City of West Palm Beach is advising residents and commuters about temporary road closures necessitated by a film permit granted for the production of a commercial for South Florida VW. These closures are essential to ensure the safety of both the film crew and the general public.

On Monday, Nov. 6, 2023, temporary road closures will be implemented on the following roads within the City:

  1. Okeechobee Blvd Closure: Okeechobee Blvd, from I-95 to Rosemary Ave, will experience partial closures from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. During this time, access to downtown via Okeechobee Blvd will be limited. We encourage motorists to use Australian Ave to Banyan Blvd as an alternative route to enter downtown West Palm Beach.
  2. Clematis Street Closure: Clematis Street will also be partially closed on Monday, Nov. 6. The closure will affect the section of Clematis Street from Quadrille to Narcissus and will be in effect from 6 to 7 a.m. As a result, traffic disruptions may occur during this period.

These road closures are necessary to facilitate the safe production of the South Florida VW commercial, and the City of West Palm Beach appreciates your understanding and patience during these temporary inconveniences. We are committed to ensuring the success of creative endeavors that highlight our City’s unique charm and character.
