Miami Beach Visitor and Convention Authority

Tourism Advancement Program – Second Period Projects

The Miami Beach Visitor and Convention Authority (MBVCA) is accepting grant applications for special events, promotions, activities and festivals which will stimulate tourism by increasing hotel occupancy and will have significant media impact for Miami Beach between Feb 1, 2021 through May 31, 2021 in the following categories:Development Opportunities, Major One Time Special Event, Special Events Recurring, Special Projects, and Special Projects Recurring. Eligibility into each grant category requires approval by the MBVCA Administrator.

Interested applicants must:

Meet with MBVCA Administration by Tuesday, November 24, 2020
Submitproject information and required grant criteria by Monday, December 7, 2020 by 3:00 pm,
Submit draft application and application attachments by Monday, December 14, 2020 by 3:00 pm,
Submit the final completed application to the MBVCA offices by Monday, December 21, 2020 by 12:00 pm.

Miami-Dade County Art in Public Places Artist Calls

Platform 3750

Submission deadline: Friday, November 20, 2020, 11:59 PM – DEADLINE EXTENDED

Budget:  $575,000

Eligibility: Open to professional visual artists based in South Florida

Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs through its Art in Public Places Program and Miami-Dade County Department of Community Action and Human Services (CAHSD) request qualifications from professional artists and/or artist teams to commission artworks for the Platform 3750 mixed use facility. The selected artist(s) will design unique artwork(s) that will contribute to the identity of this facility and engage employees, visitors, and passers-by in unexpected and delightful ways. Gallery on the River

Submission deadline: Friday, November 20, 2020, 11:59 PM – DEADLINE EXTENDED
Budget:  $321,000
Eligibility: Open to professional visual artists based in South Florida
Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs through its Art in Public Places Program, Miami-Dade County Department of Public Housing and Community Development, and partner Related Urban request qualifications from professional artists and/or artist teams to commission artworks for the new Gallery on the River affordable housing for seniors. The selected artist(s) will design unique artwork(s) that will contribute to the identity of this facility and engage employees, visitors, and passers-by in unexpected and delightful ways.
