Due to Overwhelming Popularity, West Palm Beach Announces: Soul In The City Jazz Experience Is Back


WEST PALM BEACH, FL – The City of West Palm Beach presents the Soul in The City Jazz Experience on Wednesday, Oct. 11, 2023. The event will run from 7 to 9 p.m. at 101 S Flagler Dr., West Palm Beach, FL 33401.  Due to high demand, the series will continue with performances on Wednesday, Nov. 15 and Wednesday, Dec. 13.

The Soul in The City Jazz Experience is a two-hour musical event with tickets that are open to the public for purchase. The featured artist for this month is Nathan Mitchell, a Grammy-Nominated artist with 10 Billboard hits, including three #1 Billboard songs. Nathan Mitchell is known for his exceptional talents in contemporary jazz.

Nathan Mitchell’s notable releases include “Smooth Groove” in 2017, which had two successful tracks on the Billboard charts. In 2020, his album “Soulmate” earned him a NAACP Image Award Nomination, and the single “Swing City” reached #7 on the Billboard charts.

In 2021, Nathan Mitchell received a second NAACP Image Award nomination for “Outstanding Jazz Album” for “Donny, Duke, & Wonder,” released during the global pandemic. In 2022, his album “Love Languages” won him a third NAACP Image Award for “Outstanding Jazz Album.”

The event will offer complimentary popcorn and provide light bites, snacks, alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks for purchase.
