City Hall and Mandel Public Library will be Closed on Columbus Day
WEST PALM BEACH, FL – West Palm Beach City Hall and the Mandel Public Library will be closed on Monday, Oct. 9, 2023, in observance of Columbus Day. Regular trash and garbage pickup services will be provided. On Tuesday, Oct. 10, City Hall will reopen at 8 a.m., and the Library will open at 9:30 a.m.
The City of West Palm Beach acknowledges and recognizes the second Monday in October as both Columbus Day and Indigenous Peoples’ Day. Indigenous Peoples’ Day was first proposed by a delegation of Native Nations to the International Conference on Discrimination Against Indigenous Populations of the Americas in 1977.
