Hurricane Elsa Looms Around Florida’s Central West Coast


Hurricane Elsa brought strong winds to areas southwest of Tampa Bay, on July 6, as the National Weather Service confirmed it had regained hurricane strength on Tuesday evening, July 6.

The National Hurricane Center warned of a “life-threatening storm surge” and “hurricane conditions” along parts of Florida’s west coast on Tuesday night into Wednesday.
