DE Keahnist commits to UCF
Lakeland’s outstanding DE Keenist Thompson stays close to his home.
Thompson, 6 feet 3, 255 pounds, announced his commitment to play at UCF on Wednesday.
Thompson is rated by the 247Sports Composite as a 3-star rookie, 46th player in the state, and 54th defensive lineman nationwide. He had over 15 offers including Alabama, Florida, Florida, Miami and Texas.
Thompson is the second Dreadnought committed to UCF in the 2022 class. Lakeland’s up-and-coming senior office lady Miguel Maldonado announced his commitment in March.
University DB Thomas Commits to Iowa
Orange City-University Up-and-coming Senior CB Noble Thomas Jr. announced his commitment to Iowa on Wednesday.
Thomas (6 ft-1, 185 lbs) is ranked 94th CB nationwide and 125th overall player in the state in the 247Sports Composite. He had Boston University as another finalist.
Thomas was the first team’s all-area selection when he split eight passes in 2020 and intercepted the other two passes.

Osceola DB Wilson commits to Syracuse
Oceana’s up-and-coming senior CB Jeremiah Wilson announced his commitment to Syracuse on Wednesday.
Wilson, 5 feet 11, 173 pounds, is ranked 122nd CB nationwide in the 247Sports Composite and 174th overall employer in the state.
Wilson was forced to tackle 47 times, intercept 5 times and fumble 2 times in 2020 when Kowboys reached the Class 8A Championship game.
