Susana Malcorra visited the site where works are being undertaken to improve service to the public that comes to the Foreign Ministry to legalize documents.
These remodelling works comprise several aspects: computerizing the procedure, communication with the public and physical space. The public will circulate in a manner that follows the steps of the procedure. For this purpose, a new access to the Esmeralda 1212 building was created which will be for exclusive use by the public that comes to legalize documents and will have a single exit.
The available surface area is being expanded with new equipment that will help to improve waiting conditions as well as to enhance the personnel’s quality of life and working conditions.
In order to improve the service, three new air conditioners and an elevator for people with disabilities and families with small children were installed.
Works are being carried out in bathrooms for women, men and disabled people. In addition, the electricity network and lighting were improved. Furthermore, there is a new signage and public communication system where graphics and computerized systems supplement one another.
