The Argentine Government confirms the receipt of the Uruguayan judicial decision ordering the surrender of Juan José Navarro Cádiz, who is charged with the aggravated murder of National Congressman Héctor Olivares and his assistant, Miguel Yadón.  In addition, Argentina is grateful for the efforts undertaken by Uruguayan courts to promptly grant the extradition requested as a result of this tragic loss, which has shocked the Argentine people.

The Argentine Government will provide all the necessary means to transfer Juan José Navarro Cádiz to our country today, and to guarantee his appearance before the appropriate court in order to shed light on the events that took place on May 9.

This is a clear example of effective cooperation between both countries in the investigation and prosecution of crime.
