          The Argentine Republic condemns the attacks that took place last week in Baghdad and other Iraqi cities, which left more than 100 people dead. The Argentine Government extends its condolences and solidarity to the Iraqi Government and people, especially to those injured and to the victims’ families.

Argentina is deeply concerned about the persistent increase in violence and the deterioration of the humanitarian situation in Iraq. Therefore, Argentina reiterates its condemnation of all terrorist acts and reaffirms its support for initiatives aimed at promoting inclusive political dialogue and peaceful coexistence within a framework of respect for international law and human rights.
