The Argentine Government strongly condemns the attack perpetrated on May 31 on Kabul’s diplomatic area known as the “Green Zone”, which has claimed at least 80 lives and left many injured, according to preliminary figures.

The Argentine Republic conveys its condolences and solidarity to the Afghan Government and people, as well as to the victims’ families and to the countries whose embassies were adversely affected, hoping for the quick recovery of those injured.

The Argentine Government reaffirms its will to strengthen the fight against terrorism and to guarantee international peace and security, within the framework of international law and respect for human rights.
